I liked the idea of using a simple theme, which also looks good, so thats when I thought of the idea of making the website black and white. I think it looks 'edgy' which also goes with the sound of the band. I used the bands logo for the header of the website, this allows the album and the artist to connect and it is also part of the marketing/merchandise so as soon as people see this logo-straight away they know what it is. Next I added the Facebook and Twitter widgets, so fans can click on the buttons and it will follow or like their page on either Facebook or twitter, which allows the fans to connect to the artist directly. Then I added a few photos of the band live- to give it the concert element, I made all the photos black and white so that they fit with the website. Above these images, I also added the option to 'buy tickets here' which means if the viewer looks at the photos and thinks 'they look like they would be really cool to see' they can click buy tickets now and get info and tickets on all the bands latest gigs. I also added the list of tour dates on the front to show the viewer that the band could be visiting a city near them, so they could go and watch. Finally, the menu bar at the top, which consists of 'HOME', 'GALLERY', 'CATALOGUE', 'ABOUT' and 'TOUR', all of which are pretty self explanatory.
