Background of our character (ADD MORE)

Changes.

GRAVEYARD. 

At first, we were going to film in Peaslake graveyard to put at the end of our opening sequence, this was going to show the audience where the coffin was and it also showed a lot of other graves and that it was in the middle of nowhere, putting it into perspective what was about to happen. We ended up not filming there because we changed our idea slightly so that the coffin wasn't underground and was in fact, someone was there burying it. We also didn't want to pan out from the coffin to the grave yard because we felt if we did that then it would take away tension, as the whole sequence is set inside the coffin, so to then pan out to the graveyard after that, we thought would take away from the suspense and tension. 

Idea of Claustrophobia

We liked the idea of basing our thriller around a fear or phobia that many people will have, this is so people will be able to relate easily. After researching, we found a lot of articles on people being stuck somewhere, or trapped underground. 
For example..








These chilean miners were trapped underground for 69 days. 















Another example is this woman who was buried alive in Greece:

Scene Outline.

It is about a girl who is trapped inside a coffin. Dirt drops on top of the coffin and wakes her up, she slowly starts to look around and is confused. She realises she is in a wedding dress and tugs at it. She begins to search and feel around the box, after a few seconds, she starts to knock on the sides to see if anyone is there outside the box. No one replies, so she beings to bang a bit louder and says 'HELP' no one replies. Next she sees the timer that is counting down and is on 30 seconds. She bangs louder and screams for help, no one replies. She then kicks the box and is banging as loud as she can, screaming, it looks like she is having a fit. It then goes black and cuts to a pan of a graveyard. 

FINAL SCENE OUTLINE:

Girl slowly starts to wake up, she is confused and dazed as she has been drunk. She hears dirt hitting the top of the coffin. She looks around and realises the wedding dress she is wearing, she pulls at it. She sits up and little bit and feels all around the coffin, she bangs and says 'HELLO, IS ANYONE THERE' to which someone replies. She tries to kick and bang the box so she can get out but she can't, the person outside the box seems to be no help at all. We then hear a huge bang and then she starts screaming and going crazy as we hear more dirt coming in on the coffin. Cuts to black.

Back Up Costume.

If our costume doesn’t arrive in time, our actress is just going to have to wear normal casual clothes that a teenage girl would wear, which was our original idea, as we do not have a back up wedding dress. It also would be a waste of money If we did buy a back up wedding dress and then our original dress turned up.
